The town of Primošten is situated on an island that was connected to the mainland five hundred years ago so as to reach their fields easier. The town’s name originates from this as well - it has been derived from the Dalmatian term ‘primostiti’- to bridge. Old stone houses, churches and narrow stone-paved streets (Dalmatian ‘kala’) show a perfect blend of the past and the present.
