Villas within resorts offer a utopian combination for many travelers -- spacious and well-appointed accommodations featuring all of the amenities that a world-class resort has to offer.
Resort Villas traditionally offer more privacy and comfort than a hotel room or suite, many times with a private pool, although you still have access to the resort grounds with the larger community pools, children's activities, bars, restaurants, sporting activities and more.
Some resorts may only have one or two exclusive villa accommodations, while others may cater more to villa style accommodations. Many times villas are privately owned and decor may vary between different properties, although there are almost always strict guidelines in place to ensure that independently owned villas meet the resorts' high standards for quality and guest satisfaction. It is also common for resorts to own and manage all of the villas on the property, in which case the villas are generally consistent in decor and layout.
